CanCon Podcasts

Graduating with a degree in media studies and a passion for storytelling, Robin De Angelis was looking for a professional graduate program that would provide the hands on, technical experience that would be valuable in a career. At the same time, she wanted the academic rigour of learning theory as well; the MMJC program struck the right balance of both.

Going into the program, Robin intended to pursue a career in communications.  However, during the program Robin fell in love with journalism and she eventually interned at CBC Sudbury working in radio.

Being a fan of podcasts Robin developed her own for her capstone project. Utilizing what she learned during her media studies program , Robin’s podcast, CANCON,  focused on discussing and critiquing issues relating to Canadian media and journalism.

Capstone Projects are produced by MMJC students at the very end of the program, as a chance to demonstrate their new skills and explore ideas and themes that interest them.  Learn more about the MMJC program and apply at the FIMS website: fims.uwo.ca/mmjc
