PiDGin Community Dinner Communications Plan

After completing her undergrad at Western University, Avery Nicholson wanted to do a Masters that could lead to a specific career – and that’s where the MMJC came into play.

The MMJC program appealed to her for a number of reasons.  First, she loved her experience at Western. Second, she felt the combination of communications and journalism training would help her in a career in public relations.

For her capstone project, Avery wanted to create a media kit for PidGin, a Vancouver based restaurant, to hone her communication writing skills that would help her during her internship. Using Adobe Spark, Avery tapped into her creative side to develop a media kit she hoped would garner the attention of more journalists and outlets.
